Jami Masjid is one of the largest masjid situated at
Jaunpur in
Jaunpur District of
Uttar Pradesh.
The mosque is a fine piece of Muslim architecture. It was built between 1458 and 1478 by Hussain Shah.
The masjid resembles the Atala Masjid in many aspects of its design and architecture. This impressive building, hoisted on a high pedestal, encloses a patio of 66 m by 64.5 m. The inner part of the prayer hall is topped by a lofty dome.
