Moradabad, also known as the City of Brass, lies on the banks of
Ramganga River, in the western Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of Moradabad District and is a major trade center for brass metal handicraft. The city was founded in the 17th century by Rustam Khan, a Mughal general. It holds a fort, which stands towards the north of the city. New Delhi is 150 km west of Moradabad.
