Kampil Fair




Kampil Fair is a Jain Mela celebrated in the village of Kampil in Uttar Pradesh. It is held in the month of March and lasts for five days.

Kampil, graced by the visit of Lord Mahavir, was the hometown of the 13th Tirthaiikar Brahlan Vimal Nath. A large number of the Jain devouts from far and near come to Kampil to part in the festival. There are remains and mounds, which holds the relics and sculptures of Jain period.
