Banpur Jain Temple




Banpur Jain Temple is a highly revered Jain pilgrim center situated at Banpur, about 30 km east of Lalitpur, in Uttar Pradesh. The temple enshrines a standing idol of standing idol of Lord Shantinath, the 16th tirthankar of the Jain religion. Two standing idols of Lord Kunthunath and Arahnath are installed on either sides of the deity.

The annual fair organized in the beginning of March is attended by thousands of devotees from far and near. Accommodation facilities are provided for pilgrims.

Lalitpur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
