Badri Nayarana Ghat

Situated on the Ganges River in Varanasi, Badri Narayana Ghat is associated with some sacred shrines such as Nagesvara, Nagesa Vinayaka and Nara-Narayana Kesava.

Earlier known as Matha or Balabai Ghat, Badri Narayana Ghat was made pucca during the 19th century under the patronage of Balabai of Gwalior.

A festival is celebrated here in honor of sage Nara-Narayana, the fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, during December - January. Also held here is a sacred bath ceremony during the Hindu month of Baisakhi (April-May).
