Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi District




Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi is a district in Uttar Pradesh formed in 1994. It is situated in the plains of the river Ganges, with its borders touching Allahabad District, Varanasi District, Mirzapur District, and Jaunpur District. Sant Ravidas Nagar covers an area of about 1,056 sq km. It is famous for its carpets in India and abroad. Bhadohi and Gyanpur are the important cities.

The Ganges, Varuna and Morva are the main rivers. The climate is extreme with low rainfall. Sita Maddhi Temple is an important tourist place.
