Longtharai Hill

Longtharai is the eastern hill range of the Dhalai District, Tripura. Literally Longtharai means a ‘Deep Valley’ and it is associated with the name of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Shiva had rested on the Longtharai hill, during his journey from Kailash, and hence the name. The Raima River originates from this hill range.
