Togamalai

Togamalai, also spelt Thogamalai, is a small town in Karur District , Tamil Nadu. It is surrounded by Kalladai in the east, Kalugur in the north, Manapparai in the south and Aniyappur in the south-west. Togamalai is around 11 km north-west of Samudram. Tiruchirapalli, the thriving commercial center, is 33 km away. Madurai, famous for the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, is about 93 km from the town. Tourist spots in the neighborhood include Togaimalai Temple at Manapparai, Kadambavananathar Temple at Kulittalai, Viralimalai Murugan Temple and Viraimalai Hill at Viralimalai, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple Museum, Viralimalai Peacock Sanctuary and Rock Fort.
