Vaisakha




Vaisakha is the 2nd month of the Hindu calendar. Baisakhi, the harvest festival, falls in this month. It is believed that one will attain swarga (heaven) if the Brahma Purana along with Jaladhenu, is gifted to anyone on the full-moon day in the month of Vaisakha. Mohini Ekadashi, also known as Vaishak Shukla Ekadashi is observed during the light fortnight of Vaisakha

According to Gregorian calendar, this month commences from the mid of April and extends to the mid of May.
