Shri Pathira Kaliamman Temple




Shri Pathira Kaliaman Temple is located in Sivakasi of Virudhunagar District. The presiding deity is Shri Pathira Kaliaman. The temple is famous for its rajagopuram 66 ft long, 44 ft wide and 110 ft high. It is the biggest one among the Amman temples in India. The temple is also well known for its beautiful garden. Pournami Puja is celebrated here on the full moon day and it attracts a large crowd.

The nearest airport is at Madurai. The nearest broad gauge line passes through Virudhunagar. Sivakasi is well connected by road to Coimbatore, Virudhunagar, Trichy, Palani and Chennai.
