Located about 11 km north of Kulasekaram in Kanyakumari District, Pechiparai is a picturesque place known for a dam and lake. Pechiparai Dam is an ideal picnic spot built across the Kodayar river. Horticultural Research Station of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is also located here.
There is a little known waterfall near Pechiparai. The Ring Mountain or Modhiramalai is just 7 km from here, on the Kodaiyar Road. Thriparappu Waterfalls is 13 km away. Padmanabhapuram Palace and Suchindram Temple are other nearby attractions.
