Parigi




Parigi, erstwhile Paruvi, is an ancient town in the southern part of Anantapur District in Andhra Pradesh. It is around 100 km south-west of Anantapur and 15 km north of Hindupur.

Parigi is one of the major producers of mango and mulberry in the district. Silk twisting and silk reeling are some of the main occupation of the people in this region. Hindupur Jain Temple is an important shrine in this region.

Nearest airport is Bangalore International Airport. Hindupur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
