Krishnapuram Temple is located at Krishnapuram in Tirunelveli District at a distance of 10 km from Tirunelveli town. The king Kumar Krishnappa Naicker built the temple, which accounts for the name Krishnapuram Temple. The presiding deity of Venkatachalapathi is installed here with consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi.

A mandapam known as Veerappa Naick Mandapam is located on the northern side. One of the six pillars has carvings related to the adventure of Bhimasena with Purushamrigam.

The main festivals are Vaikasi Visakham (May - June) and Skanda Shashti (October – November). Pujas and abhishekam are part of the daily rituals.
