Vettavalam

Located around 24 km south of Thiruvannamalai, on Odiyattur Road, Vettavalam is a town in Thiruvannamalai District. It is close to the border of Viluppuram District. Agastheeshwarar Temple is the main attraction.

Tirukkoyilur and Gingee are prominent towns and tourist destinations at about 18 km and 25 km from Vettavalam. Arunachaleswarar Thirukoil, Sri Ramana Ashram, Sri Seshadri Swamigal Ashram, Yogi Ram Surathkumar Ashram and Gingee Fort can be reached from here.

Veraiyur is 11 km west, Konalur is 10 km north and Odiyattur is 15 km south-east.

Vettavalam is 140 km south-west of Chennai International Airport and 11 km south-east of Tandarai Railway Station. Thiruvannamalai Railway Station is another nearby rail access point.
