Kanthuri Festival

The 14-day Kanthuri Festival is celebrated at the Nagore dargah of Saint Quadirwali in Chennai. Devotees tie their offerings on the Kodimaram (flag pole) specially erected for the festival. On the tenth day of the festival, the Saint's tomb is smeared with sandalwood and the holy sandal paste is distributed among the devotees, which is renowned for its healing powers.
