Bhavani Sangameshwarar Temple




Bhavani Sangameshwarar Temple is a delightful shrine, situated at Bhavani, about 12 km north of Erode, in Tamil Nadu. This black stone temple, located at the confluence of Bhavani and Cauvery rivers, is a major land mark of Bhavani. The temple enshrines Lord Sangameshwarar as the presiding deity along with his divine consort Vedanayaki.

Bhavani Sangameshwarar Temple was built by Kongu's state kings, about 1000 years ago.

By road, the temple can be accessed from Coimbatore and Yercaud. Erode Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
