Idaiyakottai

Idaiyakottai is a town in Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu. It is close to the southern border of Karur District and is about 11 km south of Pallapatti. River Nanganjiar, a tributary of the Amaravathi, has its course through Idaiyakottai.

Idaiyakottai is connected by road to Oddanchatram. Dindigul is 38 km south and Vedasandur is 16 km away.

Oddam Hatram Railway Station is the nearest rail access point and the major railhead is Dindigul Junction Railway Station. Nearest airport is Madurai Airport.

Palani (a pilgrim center) and the hill station of Kodaikanal are accessible from this town.
