Sri Rama Anjaneya Temple




Sri Rama Anjaneya Temple at Pozhichalur is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It has 2 sanctums, one for Lord Hanuman and another one for Lord Ram along with Sita and Lakshman. Besides, there also shrines for Lord Chakrathazhvar and Lord Santhanakrishnan. The serpent God, Lord Nagar, appears under a tree inside the temple.

Special pujas are done for Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman on the day in which Punarpusam star comes in the Tamil month of Panguni (March - April) on the Navami Thithi, (which is the ninth day after New Moon day).
