Guduvanchery is a developing town on the outskirts of
Chennai. It is on the GST Road around 30 km from Chennai. Guduvanchery is home to many industries including Rane Tow Steering system Ltd, Chennai Agro Tech and Stones Ltd, Wipro Limited, and Procon Instrumentation Ltd.
Urapakkam Railway Station is near to Guduvanchery. Guduvanchery has its own railway station, and is the last terminus of the Chennai Metropolitan buses.
