Kaveripattinam




Kaveripattinam is a small settlement on the outskirts of Krishnagiri in Krishnagiri District of Tamil Nadu. It sprawls over an area of four square kilometers. The town lies in between Karimangalam and Krishnagiri (10 km). It is bounded by Kattagaram in the east, Sundekuppam in the north, Bannihalli in the south-west and Mittahalli in the west. Ponniar River flows through the town. Bangalore, the Garden City of India, is around 95 km from Kaveripattinam. The nearby tourist spots are Aruneeshwara Temple at Karimangalam, Krishnagiri Fort, Hogenakkal, Krishnagiri Dam, Government Museum, Rayakottah Fort, Vainu Bappu Observatory at Kavalur, Hogenakkal Waterfalls, Tillany Fine Arts Museum and Gallery and Hosur. Victoria Hotel at Hosur provides convenient and affordable accommodation. The nearest airport is Bangalore International Airport. Rayakottai Railway Station serves the town. By road, Bargur can be approached from Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri. National Highway 7 passes through the town.
