Chintadripet




Chintadripet is located in Chennai. The place is known for its fish market and carrom players.

Historical evidences tell us that Chintadripet was originally a large garden near the Cooum River. It was taken over in 1735 for a new weaver’s village and from then onwards it became the home for spinners, weavers, washers and painters.

The main attractions of the place are the Adi Ponniamman Temple, Angalamman Temple and the May Day Park.
