Narasimha Jayanti




Narasimha Jayanti is an important festival held to commemorate Lord Vishnu’s incarnation as Narasimha. It falls on the 14th day of the bright fortnight of Vaisaka (June).

Bhajans in praise of Narasimha are sung on this occasion and the highlight is the enactment of Prahlata Charitam – the story of Narasimha. Special feasts are also arranged on this day.
