Chennai Bus Station




Chennai Bus Station (TNSRTC Bus Station) is a short walk from the Chennai Central Railway Station. Inter-city and inter-state buses cater to the needs of travellers. The station operates deluxe, express and fast buses connecting all prominent destinations in southern India including Kerala, Karnataka, Coimbatore, Madurai and Tiruchirapalli. Central Mofussil Bus Terminus at Koyambedu connects Chennai with most of the cities and towns inside and outside Tamil Nadu. Additionally, transport corporations of all neighbouring states run regular services to and from Chennai to all major destinations.

The nearest airports are Kamaraj National Airport (handles the domestic flights) and Chennai International Airport (20 km.)

Radha Park Inn International, Hotel President, Hotel Shelter and Le Royal Meridien offer lodging facilities near the bus station. Marina Beach, Kapilashvara Temple, San Thome Basilica, Government Museum, Elliot's Beach and Chennai Harbour are all at a short distance.

Private vehicles are available for domestic and interstate transportation. Local transport is by means of auto-rickshaws, cycle-rickshaws, chauffeur driven private cars and taxis.
