Biryani

An Indian rice dish, Biryani is a special combination of basmati rice, lightly spiced with fresh vegetables, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, saffron and a selection of special spices. It is often garnished with boiled egg on top. It can be a meal in itself or can be served as part of an Indian meal. It is usually served with a vegetable curry or with yogurt salad. Biryani has a unique, exotic flavor which has earned it much popularity. Hyderabadi Nawabi Biryani and Lucknowi gosht Biryani are its two famous versions.
