Located in Ettayapuram in Thoothukudi District, Bharathiar Mani Mandapam was built by Kalki Krishna Moorthy in 1945 in memory of the National poet, Subramania Bharathiar. The occasion of its opening was solicited by Mahatma Gandhi. The memorial is now managed by the Public Relations Department.
