Aruganthampoodi




Aruganthampoodi is a village of great historical importance situated in the Vellore District of Tamil Nadu.

The village holds the mausoleums of the family members of Tipu Sultan, one of the most famous rulers of Mysore. These monuments are located on the Vellore-Arcot road. Some of the other important places of tourist interest include Muthu Mandapam, a monument built in honor of the last Tamil King Vikarama Raja Singha, situated on the banks of Palar River.

Vellore Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
