Arani




Located at a distance of around 33 km from Vellore, Arani is famous for silk saris. Arani served as a local stronghold in the fight for independence. Agriculture, beekeeping, and poultry are the major activities. Remnants of Chola rule can be found at Arani. The temple town of Padaveedu is a nearby interest.

Arani is well connected by road and rail to Vellore, Villupuram, and Katpadi.
