Annavasal is situated to the south of Manamadurai, in Sivagangai District. Tiruchuli, one of the fourteen Shaiva centers in Tamil Nadu, can be reached from Annavasal. Tiruppachetti, Panaikkudi and Partibanur are the places in the neighborhood.
