Anchetti




Anchetti, also spelt Anchetty, is a small town situated about 22 km south-west of Denkanikottai in Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu. It is surrounded with dense forests. Anchetti is around 26 km south-west of Panchapalli and 14 km south of Andevanahalli. Krishnagiri is 70 km, Hosur is 45 km and Bangalore is 72 km from Anchetti.

Lake at Anchetti attracts large number of migratory water birds. Tourist spots in the region include Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, Pettairaya Swamy Temple and Holy Dharga at Denkanikottai, Thally, Krishnagiri Fort, Kelavarapalli Dam, Tillany Fine Arts Museum and Gallery, Krishnagiri Dam, Government Museum, Chandira Choodeswarar Temple, Rayakottah Fort and Hogenakkal Waterfalls.

Anchetti is an ideal base for nature lovers and bird watchers.

Bangalore International Airport is the nearest airport. Anchetti can be accessed from Pennagaram and Denkanikottai by road.
