Aintharuviar is one of the tributaries of the river
Chittar, originating from the eastern slopes of
Eastern Ghats. On the way down, it forms the glittering water fall of Aintharuvi, a famous tourist spot. It finally merges with Chittar near the Gajamajorpuram village. The Aintharuvi dam and Ilanji dam are found across this river.
