Aabatsahayar Temple




Aabatsahayar or Aabathsahayeswarar Temple is a Shivasthalam located at Tiruppazhanam near Thanjavur. The deity is believed to come to the rescue of devotees in times of peril. The temple is adorned with a five-tiered Rajagopuram at the entrance and two prakarams. The vimana of the temple is built in granite. The temple houses the shrines for 7 Saptastana lingams, Venugopala and Mahalakshmi. The main festival celebrated is the Saptastana festival.
