Singalia Ridge

Singalia Ridge is a popular spot in Sikkim for trekking enthusiasts. This ridge lies on the Indo-Nepal border. The feeder valleys of the Rangit River adjoin the Singalia ridge. To the west of the ridge lie the mighty Mt Everest, Mt Makalu, Mt Lhotse and Mt Nuptse. In the north lies Mt Kanchenjunga.

The usual trekking route on the Singalia ridge is between Darjeeling and Phalut covering the areas Jorepokhari, Tanglu and Sandakphu. Sandakphu (3,636 m) is one of the world's best spot for sunrise or sunset viewing, in the vicinity of Mt Kanchenjunga.
