Ngadak Monastery

Ngadak Monastery is located in Namchi, the district headquarters of South Sikkim District. The monastery was built by Pedi Wangmo, half-sister of Chogyal Chagdor Namgyal. Built beautifully with stone and wood, the monastery was virtually destroyed and is now supported by iron railings. The monastery is a center for tantra. A new Ngadak Monastery has been built near the old one. The two monasteries are in the middle of a forest housing a large number of medicinal plants.

The nearest airport is Civil Enclave Bagdogra.
