Blue Sheep is an attractive animal with dense, short, and slate gray coat. It has big eyes and small pointed ears. The underparts, backs of legs, and underside of tail are white. The horns turn sideways and curve backward but are set quite close together at the base. Diet consists of grass, tubers and lichens.
The sheep can be seen in the Great Himalayan National Park of Himachal Pradesh.
