Eklingji

Also known as Kailashpuri



Eklingji is a small ancient town set in a beautiful valley that contains the Eklingji Lake. Situated 22 km north of Udaipur city, Eklingji has about 70 temples dating back to the 11th century. The Shiva temple here is said to be the guardian deity of Mewar. The Sas Bahu marble temple of the 11th century, black marble Adbhudji Jain temple of the 15th century, Pataleshwar Mahadev, Arbada Mata, Rathasan Devi, Vindhyavasini Devi are other famous temples around the town.

The town is easily accessible by road from Udaipur.
