Talwara




Talwara is a historic town situated about 13 km east of Banswara, in Rajasthan. The place is famous for its ancient temples and the ruins of some old monuments.

Major point of attraction here are the Tripura Sundari Temple - dedicated to Goddess Durga, Laxmi Narain Temple, Gokarneshwar Mahadev Temple and the Jain temple of Sambhar Nath. These temples are renowned for its exquisite carved idols in black stone.

The beautiful black stone idols carved by the ‘Sompura Samaj’ artists are available on the roadside shops in Talwara.
