Sardar Samand Lake

Sardar Samand Lake is about 60 km south-east of Jodhpur, off the Jodhpur-Pali route.

It attracts a variety of migratory birds such as pelicans, flamingos, cranes, egrets and kingfishers. On the way to the lake, visitors can also watch certain wildlife species such as blackbuck, nilgai and chinkara. Sardar Samand Lake Hotel, the art-deco summer palace, lies beside.
