Jaisamand Lake

Jaisamand Lake is located about 52 km south-east of Udaipur and is the second biggest artificial lake in Asia.

A natural and peaceful haven, the lake is encircled by hills and summer palaces on all sides. It has elegant steps leading to the water and marble Chhatri (cenotaphs) on its bank and a small Shiva temple. Close by is the Jaisamand Sanctuary, which is worth visiting.

In the midst of the lake is the Jaisamand Island Resort that provides a panoramic view of the picturesque surroundings.
