Galiyakot

Galiyakot in Dungarpur District is on the bank of Mahi River and is 58 km southeast of Dungarpur town. Once the capital of Parmar kings, Galiyakot is renowned for the memorial of a saint named Sayyed Fakhruddin. The mausoleum is called Mazar-e-Fakhri. The annual Urs festival is celebrated here on the 27th day of Muharram, the first month of the Muslim calendar. The relics of an old fort are also worth visiting. About 19 km from Galiyakot is the town of Sagwara, the site of Sri Digambar Jain Temple.
