Parasrampura




Situated in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, Parasrampura is a town 20 km southeast of Nawalgarh. Earlier it was the estate of Sardul Singh, the local Rajput ruler. Parasrampura is encircled by a number of painted buildings. Gopinath temple, built in 1742, is a worth visiting place here. A chhatri dedicated to Sardul Singh is another attraction. Earliest frescoes dating back to 1750 are also seen in the interior of the temple and on the dome of the Chhatri. Parasrampura's modest fort lies on the west bank of the dry riverbed.

Sanganer Airport is the nearest airport. Adjacent railway station is at Dundlod.
