Dotted with small islets, it is the only artificial lake in India, which is 1200 m above sea level. Nakki is believed to have been carved out by the Gods with their nails.

Boating facilities and the rock formations around the lake are some interesting aspects. Sri Raghunathji Temple lies nearby.
