Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary




Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is located about 8 km north-east of Mount Abu and spreads over an area of about 290 sq km. The highest point of the Aravalli Ranges, the Guru Shikhar, lies in this sanctuary.

The sanctuary shelters panthers, sambar deer, foxes, wild boar and bears. The grey jungle fowl can also be spotted here.

The best time to visit is March to June.

Abu Road Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
