Marudhar Express




Marudhar Express runs between Jodhpur Junction Railway Station in Rajasthan and Varanasi Junction Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh. (The word ‘marudhar’ means 'desert.') Second A/C, third A/C and sleeper class facilities are available. There are two different routes:

Train Nos. 4853 and 4854
These trains cover a distance of 1,298 km. Main towns on the way are Jaunpur, Akbarpur, Ayodhya, Faizabad, Barabanki, Lucknow, Kanpur, Etawah, Agra, Alwar and Jaipur.

Train number 4853: Varanasi to Jodhpur, leaves Varanasi on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 17:20 hrs.
Train number 4854: Jodhpur to Varanasi, leaves Jodhpur on Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 07:00 hrs.

Base fare:
Class IIA – Rs 1673.00
Class IIIA – Rs 1065.00
Class SL – Rs 389.00

Train Nos. 4863 and 4864
These trains touch the towns of Sultanpur, Nihalgarh Lucknow, Kanpur, Etawah, Agra, Alwar and Jaipur. It covers a distance of 1,259 km.

Train number 4863: Varanasi to Jodhpur, leaves Varanasi on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 18:15 hrs.
Train number 4864: Jodhpur to Varanasi, leaves Jodhpur on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 07:00 hrs.
