Jalore District




Jalore District of Rajasthan is bounded by Barmer in the north-west, Sirohi in the south-east, Pali in the north-east, and Banaskantha District of Gujarat in the south-west. It has a total area of 10,640 sq km. The climate is very dry with large extremes of temperature and low rainfall. Average annual rainfall is about 41 mm.

The nearest airport is at Jodhpur. The prime attractions are Jalore Fort, Mosque of Malik Shah, the Jain temples, Bhinmal, and Sanchore.
