Sikar District




Sikar District is situated in the north-eastern part of Rajasthan. It is surrounded by Jhunjhunu District in the north, Churu District in the north-west, Nagaur District in the south-west, and Jaipur District in the south-east. Sikar has a total area of 7,700 sq km. Rajasthani and Hindi are the main languages spoken. The total population is around 2 million. The average rainfall is 46 cm. Best time to visit is from October to March. Lachhmangarh, Fatehpur, Khatu Shyamji, Rathi Family Haveli, Harsha, Shyam Kund, Ganeshwar, Gourishankar Temple and Shani Temple are the tourist destinations.
