Jhalawar Fort

Jhalawar Fort, also known as Garh Palace, is a magnificent fort situated in the heart of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. It was built by Maharaj Rana Madan Singh during the middle of the 19th century. Some excellent frescoes and mirrors (classic examples of the Hadoti School of art) on the walls of 'Zanana khas' within the fort are a treat to the eyes. The fort also houses a small government museum with a vast collection of 8th century sculptures, gold coins and old weapons.

This beautiful monument now houses the Collectorate and other offices. Permission to see the fort can be obtained from the offices located here.
