Banganga River

An Important Tributary of the Beas River



Banganga River, an important tributary of the Beas River, joins the Beas in the Kangra valley in Himachal Pradesh. The river which originates from the southern slope of the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas, is fed by snow melt waters. All along the river bank, near its mouth, there are large fertile sediments, suitable for cultivation.
