Anup Mahal

Anup Mahal, situated at Bikaner, is one of the beautiful palaces of Junagarh Fort. It was built by the 10th Maharaja of Bikaner State, his highness Anup Singh. This palace was the 'Darbar hall' (privy council room) of the lords. You can see a red throne of Lord Anup Singh inside the palace. The mahal has wooden ceilings inlaid with mirrors, slender massive columns, cusped arches, antique carpets and delicate lattice work on the windows and balconies. The walls and ceilings are adorned with wonderful carvings in red sandstone. The nearest airport is at Jodhpur (240 km). Bikaner Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
