Ganganagar



Ganganagar is the seat of administration of Ganganagar District, in Rajasthan. It is a major market for agricultural and leather goods in the district. Ganganagar is situated 260 km north of Bikaner and 580 km north-west of Jaipur.

Places of tourist interest in and around the town include Ganganagar Archaeological Museum, Suratgarh and Baropal. The town is just 13 km away from the Pakistan border.

Nearest airport is at Chandigarh. Ganganagar Railway Station is linked with Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Churu, Muktsar and Faridkot. National Highway 15 passes through Ganganagar. By road, Ganganagar is connected with Jodhpur, Jaipur, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Ajmer and Pali.
