Ramsagar Lake




Ramsagar Lake is a scenic lake which forms part of Van Vihar Ramsagar Wildlife Sanctuary in Dhaulpur of Rajasthan. The lake is very rich in aquatic life, including fresh water crocodiles and a number of species of fishes and snakes. One can find here a number of water birds such as cormorant, darter, ibis, white breasted water hen, moorhen, jacanas, stilt, river tern, ringed plover, sand piper and herons, grey and purple. During winter months, the lake is also home to migratory ducks and geese.

The town of Dhaulpur is situated around 34 km from the south of Agra by rail.
